This is why nobody cares or listens to chicago puck
I'm Nick Lardis and I hear my HC's 'assessment of my stuff, I use it as motivation.
And assume I'm not the only one who'll read this used a superior's, "review" my skill set thatway.
Here's to 76 having a long productive career – he won't be the first to prove another incorrect.
Full disclosure: Blashill may be a smart hockey guy but doesn't strike me as Cup level HC. Just my 0.0000002 BTCs take tho of course.
What do we expect? This teams the same as last season. The only reason why the Hawks had a good start was because of Bedard. Davidson can’t make a trade for offense because there’s nothing good to offer and how the hell would we expect the team to play better if we did a star player from a trade. The rebuilding isn’t over. The expectation has been, see what the young players can do. The wins don’t matter this season. There’s no chance that Blashill will get fired because he’s good coach for the young players. Players can decide if they want to play with effort and win. Nothing is changing other than bringing up or bringing down young players. The good news is Bedard should be back after the holiday break.
Just lose baby. The top 4 and 3, respectively, in the next 2 drafts, are all potentially generational talents. Like it or not, THAT is where the ultimate long-term help for Bedard will come from. Demidov could have pushed up that process. But, that's water under the bridge.
As much as this sucks it shows how good bedard is. He’s the difference between having a chance every game and not.
Hawks have had couple seasons to improve. Even with Bedard they are still a sub 500 team and no end in sight. Sharks will end season 15 games ahead of hawks. That is is an improvement.
