Dak the Halls? Or Sit Until 2026? | Talkin’ Cowboys

It’s a Christmas-themed Say It With Your Chest Tuesday as Kyle Youmans, Patrik Walker, Isaiah Stanback, and Josh Rodriguez debate whether Dak Prescott should even be playing in a game with little at stake and why the risk might outweigh the reward. Plus, Isaiah breaks down the Commanders in QB Vision and Josh delivers a holiday-flavored Get Ya Popcorn Ready full of cheer and chaos.

  1. Even being a holiday week that doesn't change the awful truth. The Cowboys began in 1960. I was only seven and to be honest didn't start seriously following them until 1965, and always will. That being said I knew we were screwed the minute Jerry fired Jimmy Johnson right after we won back to back Super Bowls in 1994 because he felt that Jimmy was getting more credit for it than he was. Sadly I am not sure Stephen Jones will be any better when he finally takes over but hard to see how he could be any worse. I am sure some of the hosts on this program agree, but of course they cannot say so publicly. Happy Holidays!

  2. Josh is buggin, schotty has run the ball often, often too much and with little variance and nuance! Especially out of under center so often. I recall them trying to run and got stuffed on 1st down, then needing to throw to get a first. I remember a 4th and 1 run after getting little yards on that first or second down run call. This team lacks explosiveness in the run and short passing game, you can’t just keep running for those little gains and think the player isn’t getting tired, the line is more likely to have a penalty, and there’s no real short passing game to help. Dead wrong on the run game.
