Not many games out there where MacKinnon, Makar, Toews, Necas, Landy finish negative, and still win.
Great overall defense, great goaltending, and a slight review scare.
Wedgewood was an absolute monster last night. The Mammoth play us very well. I really hope they either climb up to the w1 or fall out completely, because I really don’t want to see them round 1.
The Dark Blue Glove Edition
I appreciate the blendnar but I don’t think swapping Lehky and Landy on the 1st and 2nd lines was the move. Lehk – MacK – Necas is the best 1st line in hockey right now. Landy did fine and it’s hype as fuck to see him earning 1st line minutes again but it just seems less effective than having him play with Nelson and Nichuskin
Nate was already mentally eating his Christmas chickpeas.
I think that was Nate’s worst game of the year aside from his sick hit in the third. Though, Gabe probably should have scored on that netfront pass.
I wonder if he is a little frustrated McDavid passed him in the points race. It seems like he’s really been working on slowing down his game all year which has mostly been working, but there’s been a fair amount of times I’d like to see him beat defenders wide with speed. Happened once again last night.
