But you didn’t show that 7 teams are within one game of the flyers, and another 5 are 2 games, half the league is within 5 points of each other, they’re here now but they could be in the bottom 10 if they lose three games.
I didn’t believe this post. I looked on nhl.com to verify. I cant believe my eyes. It’s been years.
Jesus Christ the Avalanche are ridiculous
I felt the exact same way that season where we had that ridiculous 10 game winning streak and then we missed the playoffs. Please don’t jinx.
Are we one more forward, specifically a top center away from being a contender?
We’re 10 points behind Dallas, 5 behind Minnesota.
Flip 3 of those shoutout / OT losses and the Flyers are 4th in the league and first in the East.
Crazy.
Avs and Dallas are the true contenders in this list. We’re a playoff team. Those guys are contenders, Those are the two teams that absolutely dog walked us this year and we need to get to a point where our depth outweighs that kind of speed and skill. We have like 9 guys on pace for 20 goals, thats a solid start.
And it’s always fun to talk about “games in hand.” when the team is playing well but behind in the standings. Two points behind Detroit, but two games more to play. <rear view mirror>

Col and Dal have unreal goal differentials. That’s quite a hill to climb in a 7 game series. I like us one game at a time. Not so sure about a series.
Insane that COL has 2 regulation losses.
I was on board for tanking one more season in order to try for McKenna and to not rush the rebuild. But this season has been a very pleasant surprise, and I hope the young guys can continue to improve 💪
