The San Antonio Spurs are exceeding expectations in a BIG way!
Nobody had the team playing like this so soon, but here we are. From player development to surprising wins, the Spurs are ahead of schedule and turning heads around the league.
Are the Spurs officially ahead of schedule?
Is this rebuild moving faster than anyone predicted?
And what does this mean for the future of the franchise?
Let me know in the comments if you saw this coming or if the Spurs have completely shocked you

My goodness just what is the ceiling for this team!? So much fun to watch! Happy holidays, thanks for watching and GO SPURS GO!
OKC is a drive and kick team. They live off of forcing turnovers and getting into the paint so they can kick it open to shooters. If they cant do either one they really struggle. Outside of SGA noone else on OKC can score consistently in the half court. This is why they are getting these performances from Chet and J Dub the last 2 games they faced the Spurs.
Luke Kornet Alley Oop dunk over Holmgren was a thing of beauty and Castle improving on his long range jumpshots.
MAD I MISSED THE STREAM!! Sucha good game!! GSG
GG Rich you guys outplayed us and your guards are something to deal with Castle, Harper, and Fox those three guys gets y'all going
Thunder weren't themselves last night and you guys killed them in the paint
I think we should keep an eye out for the Thunder trading for Giannis . I think Chet plus that clippers pick will be enough . Especially if they lose that Christmas Day game .
3:00 Spurs basketball is ethical basketball π
rich if the spurs learned quickly how to win without vic, what about play offs, spurs migh learn it quickly how to win 7 game series without breaking a sweat
Victor out was a blessing in disguise because it proved that the team can win without their top guy playing the thunder have yet to prove if they can with without their top guy SGA.
Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6…. yeah OK 6 chips
Spurs are currently 14-1 to win the west. I'll just leave that there.
Brace yourselves for Thunder fans to use that singular game as a season long depiction. Of how they don't get overwhelming ticky tack foul slack consistently. One game to rule them all. π€£ GoSpursGo

30.5k subs, my man! πͺπ
Road to 50k…. Let's go!
I love watching this team play but……we will not win a 7 game series against a good team without a real PF
First seed! GSG
WHATS POPPIN TSRRRR!!!!??!!
Weβre in there this year! You gotta give us more with the βAll by OURSELVES β
Let's go spurs such fun times watching them.
Wemby was WEAK last night…. and it didn't matter !!! My goodness, I was projecting this level of team play a year, or even two, from now. This is just ridiculously fast progress. There is no projecting their playoff success now. Anything's possible. GSG / ALG !!!
Zesty, Fiery, Peppery, Spicy: Caliente Go Spurs Goπ₯π₯π₯π₯πππ
We were all hoping playoffs at the start of the season. I saw OKC, Nuggets, Wolves, Lakers, even Houston ahead of us. Never expected to be 2nd in the Western Conference.
He's no WemVP, he's a guy who plays in WemBA.
Awesome! MEMVP! Castle! & Fox New Big! 3 π―π½π
Go Spurs! Go ππ
Let me rephrase that Wenby! Castle & Harper & Fox The 4' Horseman! π―πππππ
I love seeing the depth and the team ball! GSG
Love that any Spurs player can go off and lead the team any given night! On the other hand, would the Thunder be able to succeed if SGA underperforms?
Wishing Rich, Miss TSR and the Couch Crew a very Merry Christmas with wishes for contained success personally and for our Spurs in 2026. GSG!!!!!
Great stuff, Rich!! These Spurs are the epitome of team ball and the talent runs deep.
David was 24 and Tim was 21 when they began their rookie seasons. Victor was 19, and joining a young team after they traded away all of their quality veteran players to rebuild from scratch, basically. This turnaround was definitely a worse situation, and their ages were different, when David and Tim came aboard. At the start of the season I did not think there was any way they could contend this year, but I believe it now!!!!
Spurs only have two weaknesses
1 teams with perfect offensive execution like phx and Boston
2 very physical teams with no weaknesses like the Knicks
It also applies to the Clippers when they feel like playing π
My prediction was 4-5 in the west and i thought i was optimistic π
