[Heyman] “The Royals are among other teams that remain interested in Hays”

  1. We’re going to piecemeal this OF situation aren’t we. Whatever, as long as our offense improves. If it doesn’t, they’re going to need to try something different like paying up for a bat. We can’t keep kicking the can down the road knowing our competitive window is getting smaller and smaller.

  2. We’re really going to try and solve the OF problem by signing a shit ton of mediocre guys and hoping they magically improve. We need to go out and get an established, good MLB player. Not 29 year old rookies and replacement level platoon guys.

I get the OF was total dog crap, so it’s an improvement. But it’s not one that is going to magically make this team a contender. This strategy puts a ton of pressure on Caglianone and Jensen to produce. And I’m really not sure how you expect Cags to take a major step forward after how little we saw last season.

  3. .315 OBP last year. Wrong side of 30. $12 million salary in 2026 and a free agent after 2026? And they have to give up a player to obtain him?

  4. Hays?!?! We went from Crossroads, Truman Sports Complex, North KC, Overland Park Kansas, to HAYS KANSAS?! What has this world come to..
