Yeah god damn you hit the nail on the head there Kyle, the drop pass is so readable and defendable, the PP is a bloody joke, and honestly PV needs to consider using the axe before it gets worse, but i think at the same time, the Ducks are also showing how terrible the defence is, and thats with the defensive coach as well.

  2. Not just the power play. The Ducks refuse to check and take the body. Instead of checking they are meekly extending their sticks trying to knock the puck away when just running into the puck carrier would accomplish it much quicker and more efficiently. The back passes are terrible, as is the whole "let's pass the puck back into our own zone" instead or charging into the offensive zone. And they are trying to set up the perfect shot when they should just be throwing the puck on goal while crashing the net and make the goalie play the puck and potentially cough up a rebound. It is really frustrating to watch.

  7. It’s time to move Lacombe off PP1 and put either Minty or Zelly on, cause his nonchalant play just slows down the play. Plus he’s not very good keeping the pucks in the blue line when it comes his way and plays are dead.

  8. At this point it is time to shake everything up. I would even try Vatrano and McTavish on the #1 power play unit. Both of them were able to score last year and it is something about this system that has got them both not being able to score. Maybe giving them some powerplay time on the #1 unit will get them going. It is also time to make some trades. Ducks need someone who can win a faceoff and an elite defenseman. I don't see why they keep rolling out the same people who are failing on the power play. At this time I would roll the 4th line out as our power play. That seems to be the only line playing consistently every night.
