  1. Just wanted to take a moment and say RIP to Ryne "Ryno" Sandberg that passed away yesterday. One of the best and a very worthy opponent. Cubs vs Cards in the 80's is some of my best memories in baseball. 🙏

  11. This season was never about 2025, stay the course. Trade Helsley(which they should have done in the offseason) let the young guys pitch and hot and get a head start on 2026

  12. Why do you keep beating the disrespect drum, JD? We need to keep these good players, it's the only way to be better at building a stronger team than our opponents (and we are still in the playoff hunt for 2025, don't forget). Trade players in the middle who are not in future plans, get players from other teams who fit better in our plans …. but never trade good players that you already have.
    Negativity and disrespect is how we've fallen into the cellar of our Division ….. most of it coming from our own team's front office (Mo). But media like you and Redbird Rants share in this because players and their families read what you write/say, and morale suffers. Talk about deals AFTER they are made, not before. Respect our players and their families.

  13. Mathews, Roby, Graceffo, Robberse, McGreevy and all the rest of the "future all-star" pitchers. Let's give these guys some time in the bigs to see what they can do on a regular basis. It's too early to be hyping them until they can prove themselves. Just another way of saying that the Cards have a way to go before they can establish a starting rotation that wins consistently. They seem to be doing a lot better with their bullpen, but unfortunately that's only half the equation.
