  1. These players taking this long, then the other teams should lock arms and NOT sign any of these players, they start panicking and lower there price

  2. We saw Sernathony in the 'pen in game 7, 3rd inning. Amongst friends in the room watching with me, I said if we brought him in at any point, it'd be at our peril.

He went on to walk all 3 batters he faced in his inning of "work".

    And unfortunately, this wasn't atypical.

I wouldn't even consider bringing him back. Don't care what the money is.

  3. You lost me at "walks too many" . He almost lost a few games for us in the Mariners series. So no thank you. I would like the Jays to trade for Mason Miller, even if it means trading Arjun Nimmala in a package of young players who don't fit the current window to win WS. We need more swing and miss in the bullpen. And Miller could be our closer instead of Hoffman aka Mr. Choke

  4. No thanks on Dominguez. He was too extreme between "striking out the side" and "couldn't hit the broad side of a barn". People also forget that it was him that allowed the go-ahead GS to Suarez in ALCS Game 5 because Little allowed the tying HR to Raleigh. I get swing and miss, but you need about half of the location issues. You're always going to have some with strikeout guys, but not Dominguez level.

    Yates: nope. Just nope.

Justin Wilson: on a low-risk one-year deal that you can DFA the second it turns sour only. He's 38 so his market won't be all that great, so that's something that should be attainable.

  5. Merry Christmas Nicky – it's the best time of the year.
Bullpen is something you can build later at this point with the Jays – they have good pieces, its not like the cupboard is bare. Relievers are year to year, so let it pan out over spring and see what is going then, an unknown always shows up in spring, so unless some marvelous opportunity presents itself in the bullpen, I wouldn't be to worried about it … Get Bo signed and go from there!

  6. Seranthony was a high leverage reliever for Jays last season.
He was even considered for the closer role when Hoffman was struggling (5 straight walks against Dodgers).
I think Jays valuation for him is 1-year $8M otherwise they would have gotten Fairbanks if contract is more or he demands 2 years.
Seranthony needs to be put in position for success (entering clean inning).
I’d be happy with signing him and getting a legit Closer at the trade deadline.

You heard it here – I think this trade deadline will be crazy since a lot of teams will want to off-load contracts before the next CBA and potential lockout.
