I was pretty surprised at a poll I saw which basically said the Nationals not the Mariners “won” this trade
For how much upper-tier free agents have signed for this off-season, especially the left-handers, it looks like the Mariners made a good acquisition that allows them to (hopefully) spend more money somewhere else before the season starts.
Nationals Park was one of the best hitters parks in the league and that's where the majority of his struggles were. His road numbers were great! I think he will benefit a lot playing half his games at the best pitchers park in the league.
