Might be the best assist I’ve ever seen
TIL JVR still in NHL.
He’s got such great hands in tight around the net. I miss his days with the Leafs where he’d feed Bozak or Kessel in similar fashion. Or just roof it over the pads himself. He progressed just fine despite disappointment over his draft pedigree.
Th guy still got it. Unbelievable around the net. Been a pleasure having him as a redwing

He’s done this like… literally every game his entire career. It became annoying to watch him turn it over like this attempting it every game knowing that it would work 1 out of 200 times
I’m not complaining, but the Wings really have a knack for kinda coasting until they’re down one and the pulling smooth shit like this lol
He’s been doing something the team needs so badly and just hasn’t had in forever.
They should have let Dallas wear their full green home jerseys for the red vs green Christmas look
