  1. I was from the Philadelphia area, loved the Flyers, but "Bobby Orr" was my favorite hockey player of all time. I would play ice hockey with my friends on a frozen lake or pond and always mimicked Bobby Orr. To me, "Orr #4" was the greatest hockey player I have ever seen, and of all time. I could not believe all that he was able to do with a puck and skates, not to mention that he played after so many knee operations. He may be the toughest hockey player of all time.

  2. For hockey fans that do not grasp that Bobby Orr was the greatest: In one season he had a +120 season. That means the Bruins outscored their opponents by 120 goals when he was on the ice. They scored 1.5 goals more than their opposition every game throughout an entire regular season when Bobby Orr was on the ice. Bobby Orr was the closest thing to an unfair advantage or the equivalent of a power play at full strength.

  3. With my dad and brother we watched the 72’ Team Canada practice and scrimmage at the Maple Leaf Gardens in red vs white. Bobby Orr skated and was the only time I ever saw him play. Smooth, fast and effortless is all I can say. We had friends in Parry Sounds and would visit a couple of times a year. Highlight of the trip was seeing Bobby Orr’s sign, “Home of Bobby Orr”.

  4. I remember when I was a kid watching Bobby Orr skate with the puck from behind his own Boston goal, the length of the ice around all the opposing players and score in their net. Although the Leafs were my team I loved Bobby Orr. Bobby Hull grew up just south of Belleville in Prince Edward County, and back in the 80's I ran into him when he was going into the Belleville City Hall. I miss the days when we had the original 6 teams!

  5. This is the worst Bobby Orr video i have ever seen. Some clips he isn't even in on the play. Just disjointed statements over erroneious film footage.

  6. Lifetime +582. The guy could do everything, and changed the game. I hated the Bruins but knew from seeing him in his first season in 66/67 that I was witnessing the best player ever. He also averaged 119 penalty minutes a season meaning he was taking care of business in every aspect of the game. He also made stars out of many players with his almost one assist per game during his 12 years.

  7. 1:54 That must've been early in his career because he raised his arms after scoring.
I believe he stopped doing it by his 3rd or 4th season.
He didn't like embarrassing the other team.

Even in those old skates they had to wear (😂 still better than was both he and us wore as kids), his skating was so smooth.

  8. Eventually …you'll bow down and worship me …even that Jeff Bozos …it's coming Jeff …moe surely then the ref, at a hockey 🏒 game … heh heh heh 😊😅😊

  9. There are the greatest out there. Most of them – to me – are the evolution of the game and they are on the very top.

And then there were the revolutions. Bobby Orr created something that did not exist before. And I love him for that.
