“Unfortunately in football, there’s a lot of things you can’t control,” Ossenfort said. “But what we gotta do is look at things that we can control that can help our players and prepare them. But unfortunately, injuries are a part of the game and those are things that we have to deal with.”
“I think every injury is different and I think we have run the gamut this year of there’s probably some bad luck and … we’re trying to look for the common denominator in those things, and I don’t know that there is (one).”
He pointed out there’s been some instances of soft-tissue injuries and others that aren’t, or some instances of injuries happening in the contact of the play and others happening away from it.

It’s over a three year period, Monti. There’s definitely something in the water.
Start with looking at the entire training staff, are they not good? Look into what other teams are doing for recovery, treatment and rehab. If there’s huge differences then you know what to change
The Cardinals love players who suck and are injury prone. But at least they’re good for the “culture.”
Probably because we come in dead last for how we treat our players: https://nflpa.com/report-cards/2025/arizona-cardinals
Normally, the strength and conditioning coaches are the last to blame. Injuries themselves usually occur due to bad luck. However, the odds increase after each subsequent injury, especially in the same region. The more injuries, the more the bell curve shifts to the right. Kyler as an individual and the 49ers as an organization are a perfect example of high rates of expected injuries.
But most Cardinals pickups and draft picks never had injury problems outside of draft falls like Williams, Wilson, and Johnson. All those waste of space FA picked up last year had no injury history. Top picks outside of Paris have never been available for any decent stretch of time.
Either they’ve had three low odds, super unlucky seasons in a row or maybe this is the one time where you do need to look at the staff.
training staff! fire them all
Maybe lose the play “violent” mantra.
