If your analysis of Jared Goff only leans on his immobility then see man above and ask what he thinks of that.

  1. I love Goff but he’s not great at making adjustments at the line like Brady was. He’s not as good as someone like Dak.

He’s still good enough to win it all but he does have limitations in throwing off platform and reading pressure. There’s been so many times that an undisguised blitz comes and he misses it or doesn’t adjust the protection like Brady or Dak would.

He’s just very highly reliant on rhythm and when he has it, he’s extremely accurate. But he’s not great when it would be beneficial to slow things down to dissect a defense and he’s bad when it comes to mobility.

  2. Listen.. Tom Brady did something just many QBs don’t understand(and many fans+haters) He carried that aura with him that if he couldn’t get this possession done, nobody could have. I get it, that may not make sense- but bear with me.

He was an elite QB, because he read the field. When he got on the field, he knew the plays, he studied that defense; he prepared for every game. I get it also, it’s easier said than done…. But he did that. That’s what made him elite.

Something similar Goff and Brady had in common? Coming in clutch at the last few minutes of the game, memorizing the plays, knowing where that receiver was going to be… we saw this from Goff these 2 prior seasons, he had time.

When a QB doesn’t have time, mobile or not, they cannot analyze or prepare for the sweet spot in the route.

  3. He threw some on the run last night by the way. Some dimes actually. Bro was running all night!!! He just wasn’t going forward

  4. My favorite is “Goff can’t play with this o line” as if mobile quarterbacks have thrived with bad offensive lines.

  5. Yeah he just has to play as good as Tom Brady and we’ll have a Superbowl eezy peezy guys. Why didn’t anybody think of this before 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  6. OP, I’ve seen your post and your responses and I can’t figure out wtf your message is. Do you know what it is or are you just karma farming?

  7. People really take for granted having a consistent top 5 QB who just doesn’t get injured. Especially with this O-line. Fire OC + Medical staff & draft O-line + pass rush we’re in for a mega bounce back year

  8. Pull Jared’s donger out of your mouth. The dawg inside him is dead. Goff can do no wrong on this sub it’s hilarious. it’s equally as cringe as the chants for him

  9. Anyone who watched Goff do the Fosbury Flop into the endzone for that TD/no -TD against the Rams wouldn’t deny the man and mobility that is Goff

  10. It’s not specifically the mobility issue. It’s the lack of pulling his team out of the funk issue. Brady was big time and made big time plays. Goff hasn’t shown an ability to do that. I would say the pass against the Rams, sure. Otherwise, he just goes down with the ship when it’s sinking.

  11. Tom Brady had one of the best side steps to avoid pressure up the middle ever and had elite pocket presence and awareness.

  12. Oh boy, comparing a master at reading defenses and pocket movement/mobility to Goff should end well.

  13. Philadelphia showed us all last year how to handle a mobile QB. Pressure. I’m not one for excuses, especially regarding the Lions as I will never be able to trust them to win it all. I am a self admitted DOOMER. I predicted 8 and 9 this year based on Holmes way of doing things, players coming back from horrible injuries, no addition to the DE position, rookies on the O- Line, losing Ben, terrible choices regarding pass coverage and on and on. Most glaring to me was the handling of Ragnow quitting. Holmes, being the sage many of you branded him to be did nothing to shore up depth at center. Nothing. How did he not see what was coming especially since F was playing hurt all the time? They had no idea he was going to retire? Glasgow was the answer? I admittedly know fuckall about this sport compared to all the true-fans in here, but trading three third round picks to move up to get Teslaa instead of focusing on a decent, teachable back-up center?

That being said…I’m no fan of Goff but he was given the worst set of circumstances. No O-line and losing LaPorta? LaPorta was his get out of jail free card.

I hate to say, we’ll see next year, but as negative as I am, i think if Holmes slows his arrogance roll and really focuses on fixing the holes, the Lions can still contend. With Goff. He’s a smart QB and when he has time, and his guys out there, he can do the magic. We’ve seen it.

Also, get a proper OC. DC is no bueno calling plays. His job is making big decisions and motivation.

I’m sorry Lions fans. This one has to hurt.

The Red Wings could use some love. Pistons are fun too.

  14. Watch stafford play. One of the last pocket passing qbs left and compare him to Goff. Goff just flat out stinks it’s not the mobility that’s the issue

  15. Goff is a fine QB. Goff is not Tom Brady. It is easier to win with a mobile QB. Lots of things can be true.

  16. Let’s put the whole Goff needs an o-line talk to bed. Goff HAD an elite o-line and a top offense for multiple seasons and still couldn’t get it done. He chokes in games that matter and lost to a rookie QB last year with the perfect scenario of the playoffs going through Detroit and choked.

  17. Brady also didn’t hold the ball all day like goff. And goff isn’t a big game winner never has never will be. When you have one game and your out would you take Brady or goff lol this comparison makes no sense

  18. We are not doing this comparison. I think Goff is a good quarterback, but I repeat, we are not doing this comparison.

  19. There’s a difference between being mobility and elusiveness. Brady and even manning were statues but elusive in the pocket and worked relentlessly to get better. Goff not so much.

  20. This is the dumbest fucking post and the amount of people that liked it speaks volumes about this sub.

  21. Brady saw the game at two levels above Goff. And had elite offensive lines everywhere. Mibility didn’t come into play. Not a fair comparison.
