Hey everyone,

I made a video breaking down why the Yankees haven't won a World Series since 2009 despite consistently having the one of the highest payrolls in baseball.

Key points I covered:

  • Hal Steinbrenner's ownership philosophy – why profit margins matter more than championships
  • Brian Cashman's 27-year tenure – only 3 All-Stars from 58 draft picks (2010-2024)
  • Aaron Boone's playoff management – 28-32 record, constant tactical failures
  • The organizational system that prioritizes analytics over proven championship formulas

It's 7.5 minutes, all data-driven analysis. No hot takes, no clickbait – just breaking down the dysfunction from ownership through the front office to the dugout.

First long-form video on my channel. Would genuinely appreciate any feedback from people who've watched this team struggle for a decade and a half.

  1. I think the biggest issue is they keep letting the other team score more runs then they score.

  2. “Watched this team struggle for a decade and a half”

The Yankees have the 2nd best record in baseball since 2010, behind only the Dodgers. They haven’t “struggled,” they just haven’t won the World Series. There are some very fair criticisms of Hal, Cashman, and Boone, but let’s not act like we’re talking about the Pirates or A’s here.
