Byram has played amazing, he caught Barzel from behind on a breakaway, 22mph speed and moves like Orr
Power's biggest knock…. 1st round pick and he's not lived up to it. He probably should have spent a few seasons in the AHL before coming up… but at the time, the sabres were at their worst and even though he was RAW, he was better than most that we had. Then he was given a UFA contract while still an RFA so now he's overpaid.
Elias Peterson brings nothing the Sabres want. They want 200ft players that are very difficult to play against. If the sabres give up on Power before he is 25 they deserve to lose. I like Ostland…..i would trade Ostlund and a 3rd but thats all i would do for a guy known for taking days off.
you can have owen power dude doesnt want to be in buffalo. ostlund is a stud hes not going anywhere
As a Sabres fan I would rather trade Power I think his play in front of his own net is concerning at times. There’s no engagement/tie ups/hits just lets them score in front. I think that trade offer for Pettersson is delusional for the Canucks, a player making THAT much with known inconsistencies is not worth all that much sure he is talented.
Oh no, Buffalo won that trade with Colorado in spades. Byram is not only still in Buffalo producing, he is a top value trade chip that should give them better than they paid to get him. What did Mitts do? So much nothing they sent him to Boston just to get rid of the contract they handed him. That is a win squarely in Buffalo’s column alone.
For Petterson to be worth something good 3-4 million has to be retained,- and even then forget about a haul like Quinn got you, Quinn was a top 3 dman, Petterson may or may not be a top 20 center.
Power stinks. Noah and Bryam should not be traded
Owen power plays like he’s 5’9” never seems someone so big and play so damn soft , he’s very inconsistent defensively. He’s okay 5on5 offensively, but he needs to go, he’s not living up to his draft status whatsoever. It was a bad year to win the lottery
i would trade pettersson in that proposal in a heartbeat.
Fans, especially Buffalo fans. Have no patience. Defenseman take longer to develop. A few years ago fans were yelling to get rid of Dahlin. Thank God they didn't listen. Now Power. Even Victor Hedman took 4-5 as a nhl player to turn his game around. Sabres have him locked up long-term. He reaches his potential as an elite dman. Sabres are looking at a top defense for yrs to come. Especially with Dahlin more than capable of playing on the right as well.
