  9. Celtics need to set their sights on the 1 seed and Tatum returning. I said this all the way back in the offseason and people said I was crazy, Everyone wants to apply the breaks to this special group every step of the way and they are very wrong.

    Didnt watch much hoop on xmas, but did catch the beginning of the Rocs/Lakes game. Kudos to Ime Udoka. In this switch-everything, positionless, scatterball, now-you-guard-him-now-you-don't era in the NBA, he went old school and brought Tari Eason into the starting line-up and put him on Luka and put Thompson on Reaves. And when either wasn't in the game he went twin tower with Sengun and Adams to choke off the Laker offense from under the boards. Bravo. Good, ol' fashioned, you-guard-that-guy basketball. Yippee.

    And another thing! Does anybody really believe that you should never set screens? Really? C'mon! Maybe this new invade-uncluttered-space approach has merit, but doesn't the way the game has been played since the 50s have any?

    A week ago the "pundits" were chirping that OKC may be the best team ever and couldn't be beaten. This week they are has-beens and nobody can stop the SA juggernaut.

    Anybody getting tired of JJ Reddick calling out his players? He's the damn coach, he needs to fix the problem. If it can't be fixed–and it can't–he should stop badmouthing his team. He "knows" who the players are, says he, that are not putting out max effort, and they know who they are. Well that's brilliant, isn't it, given that millions watch every Laker game, everyone knows who they are. Sit them down, public perception be damned.
