Colt Keith – still think it’s possible we see a leap from him. Hopeful this next year, his bat comes alive. The swing is pretty. Just hope he puts it together. Would be huge for the team.

  1. I feel like if I had a dollar for every sharp line drive out to the right side of the infield out of him, I’d retire tomorrow

  2. He’s still only 24 and just had a 13 point leap in his OPS+ from 2024 to 2025. If he can get his OPS+ to the 115 range, I’d be plenty happy. My biggest hope for him this offseason is a full offseason to get his third base defense a bit better. If he’s a neutral defender at 3B or even only a bit below average, it would be a big help to our daily lineup. He didn’t look too bad to my eye last year considering the circumstances around him not having played it in years and not exactly getting a lot of time to practice it in the middle of the season.

  3. Tigers made it pretty clear that he is the face and the future of the franchise with his contract.

  4. Sick card, I won an auction for one of his autos for .99 cents on ebay earlier this year, still high on Colt!

  5. I’m not worried about Keith at all. He’s locked up through his prime at a below average salary. All he needs to be is a solid everyday player in order to satisfy the team. Anything above average is above expectations. I personally think the contract he signed is a steal for the team. He doesn’t have to make much of a leap to make the deal really good. I think we’ll see a jump from him this season. Perhaps more power. He was right at league average for slugging at .413 last year. It’s not wild to think he could top 20 HRs and boost that slugging up to around .450.
