Just let it happen…

  1. Match made in heaven. Can you imagine this guy and Ben pumping the locker room? The team will come out ready to die.

  2. Poles has drafted incredibly well offensively but not so much defensively so make it happen

  3. Now, I know what some of you reasonable folks are thinking: ‘this can’t happen because the numbers don’t work!’ and that’s what I would typically say in this scenario, but what if………… what if the numbers *do* work in atypical fashion?!?

  4. Crosby has two years remaining with ~60 million guaranteed. Raiders would want a lot of draft capital in return. Could be quite the mortgage for 26/27.

  5. I too dream of a day where we could easily grab a top notch defensive player like Crosby or Garrett. To get either of them would be more difficult than it’s worth.

We can draft a good defensive lineman. Where we will be in the draft order is fine for this. We are more likely to need a DC or some defensive coach to fix the remaining problems with our defense.

At the same time, our existing defense isn’t really that bad. We seem to take the ball away a lot.

  6. As much as I would LOVE Maxx, I feel it’s just too rich for Chicago. Byard, Brisker, and Wright are FAs. I feel like they should be resigned if possible.

Getting Maxx would cost MINIMUM 2nd round pick in 26 and maybe 27. Plus, he’s on a huge guaranteed contract through 28 (I think?).

Fun to argue, but I don’t think it’ll happen.

  7. Think theyd be interested in a package starting with Jaylon Johnson? Assuming bears sign Nahshon to a new deal.

Would bears even be interested in that?

  8. I’d definitely make the call. I’d offer two firsts plus this year’s second. Then I’d sprinkle in Dayo Odeyingbo to make cap room. If Odeyingbo has a bounce back season, the Raiders might be able to get something for him mid year. I think that’s a fair trade.

  9. Look at what happened to Green Bay. Ton of assets gone & they have a player with a torn ACL to show for it. Depth > one single guy. Build in the draft

  10. If you intentionally sit healthy players to increase chances of loosing for draft you should be fined and removed from the 1-5 pick selection at minimum

This is pro sports this is about dudes who’s careers and entire life have been about competition about being better than the guy across from you to so blatantly wave the white flag before the games ever started is a organizational failure it sends a message to the players in that locker room you don’t matter your effort doesn’t matter you wanting to give it your all doesn’t matter to us.

Raiders aren’t shit because of roster choices solely the front office won’t ever get it together you’d think Brady would throw some logic in there at minimum but that franchise has been a failure for so long now

There history is so bleak in the 2000s era it’s worse than ours and we had a geriatric woman leading the charge

The Raiders’ last truly “good” years with sustained success were arguably the mid-2000s with Rich Gannon leading to the 2002 Super Bowl, but their last significant playoff run and winning seasons were in 2016, ending a 14-year drought with a 12-4 record and a Wild Card berth,

  11. I made this suggestion a week ago and people were going off that it would never happen

  12. The price will be too high. Plus we need good tackles just as bad as we need another edge rusher, and it will be way harder to get those without draft picks or cap space

  13. I’m one of the weird ones that think Booker will pan out. I’d rather get an upgrade at DT. I think it’d be cheaper considering we already don’t have much cap space.

That or just continue to draft talent. Hopefully DA can make some improvements in Poles’ drafting on the defensive side.

Let’s not mortgage it all on one player with knee issues.

  14. Ive been on the Mad Maxx train for a minite, I love the dude and he seems like a Bears type player. But the cost in both draft capital and Cap space are immense and I think there isnt enough conversation that Brian Burns is going to be a FA this off-season…idk…pick him up and look for the future star in the draft?
