And Zac has been leaped by a solid handful of his draft class, national media has him going 11th in a redraft.

The second round picks are whatever, and the jury is still out on Zacc since he’s still so young, but drafting AJ Griffin and Bufkin (one pick before Keyonte) back to back is honestly disastrous. We effectively have nothing to show from those seasons and derived no real assets from either of them. Bad process

  4. That Bufkin pick was so bad. I was floored when I saw it live. I think I said something about him probably not being in the league in a few years.

    Also: We selected Tyrese Martin (which makes it even worse lol) with the 51st pick. The Rollins pick was traded to the Warriors for the 51st and $2 million “cash considerations.”

  10. AJ was good, no way to know he wouldn’t work out. I was never a big Kobe fan but that pick wasn’t a reach either. Sometimes you just get unlucky. If AJ works out this isn’t a discussion. Just unlucky. And the 2nd round picks are whatever imo.

  15. I’m very upset about the story about the number one pick. We didn’t make a bad choice, no matter what the numbers say now. Zach is going to end up being a great player.

  16. ngl I think Zach is the biggest miss here. Lundy/Rollins were late second rounders so I’m not really going to judge those picks.

    AJ showed the most potential out of all these dudes but you can’t really predict a guy making generational wealth to play a kids game just letting all that go to become a priest or whatever he ended up doing.

    Bufkin is a bad miss but that entire draft class is quite underwhelming imo.. Was nice to snag Gueye in the second round nonetheless.

    The fact that we had the #1 pick, had an obvious pick in Sarr who filled a gaping hole in this roster but still didn’t draft him is honestly asinine. It is pathetic that this franchise let a 19 year old and his agent bully them into not drafting him. Who gives a fuck if he didn’t want to be here? I’m sure he wasn’t going back to France…. i mean look at Ace Bailey who seems comfortable and Utah after making a scene all draft week about not wanting to be drafted there. The word was that Sarr wanted to play the 4, well guess what… he has been playing the 5 for the last 2 years anyways. He would’ve looked awesome playing next to JJ.

  17. I wanted jaquez jr, just a solid role player with plenty of experience in college- instead we got Bufkin who’s out of the league.
