Not Having Ben Johnson As Lions OC Hurt The Team Big Time!

  1. Not having an All Pro Center and All Pro Guard, all season. Not having an all pro Safety most of the season. Not having either starting cornerback most of the season. Not having a pro bowl safety the back half of the season. Not having a pro bowl left tackle for portions of the season. Those are the reasons this season fell apart, not Ben Johnson leaving. The Lions offense was still top 5 scoring and yards, and the offense was built by Dan Campbell not Ben Johnson.

  2. Meanwhile the Bears are about the best I’ve ever seen them lol, at least since 2006

  3. I think it’s HIGHLY underrated about that the lions are injured to hell, and lost BOTH Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson. Yes Ben Johnson has the success now but that’s is a cataclysmic shift in team identity. They did alright considering everything, if I was a Lions fan I would be optimistic about the future.

  4. Yeah. Ben Johnson was a huge part of their success. What really sucks is the way he had one foot out the door during the playoffs last year.

  5. It’s such a tough position to have a better coach leaving but you can’t hire them because you’re coming off great seasons. TB lost two better coaches than Bowles, Ravens lost Macdonald, Eagles have lost a few solid coaches. It’s an impossible position to be in

  6. The Lions led the league in scoring without Ben Johnson and dominated Johnson head to head. The defense losing half it’s starters for a 2nd straight season has been the major problem.

  7. It’s crazy that he doesn’t do as well when one of the best offensive minded coaches leaves his staff.

  8. Detroit is 6th in Yards per game, and 4th in points per game this season. Ben Johnson is great, but there’s absolutely more to this.
