A $10,880 “taunt”

  1. Reed was fined $10,880 for this “taunt” while Austin Booker was fined $11,636 for *2* hits during last week’s game. Make it make sense.

  2. I imitated this celebration for my 70-something year-old dad… it feels every bit as ridiculous as it looks. Can’t believe it drew a personal foul.

  3. My two year old son saw Jayden Reed do this and now he’s running a drug cartel.

Thanks Reed. Good on the NFL for not condoning this stuff

  4. On the other hand, he could have just gone back to the huddle, not acted like a jerk and saved himself nearly $11k. Remember when Barry Sanders scored touchdown after touchdown and just handed the ball to the referee? I always respected that so much.

Play the game and act like you’ve been there before. Taunts are for guys who can’t.

  5. The NFL is straight up stealing money from these guys with this bullshit.

They’re grown ass men, let them taunt as much as they want as long as it’s not something particularly egregious. No Fun League.

  6. Can someone explain what this celebration is? I see so many players doing it and I don’t know where it came from, maybe I’m old.

  7. Proceeds go to a charity that helps kids cope with trauma caused by seeing excessive celebrations on tv.

  8. The thing about the hits on JL was the fact that he went high and that made the helmet to helmet contact. This is the nature of the NFL now and I get it. We have seen flags for much much less done to a QB so this is one of those things that is up there for severity.

Now these taunting issues, I get the concept. You dont want a guy to tackle a person and then stand over him and tea bag him. However, if its not even close to the opposing players, who cares. The NFL is trying to cater to the Swifties / soft fan base.

  9. It’s dumb. The penalty is dumb. But we know they’re calling these ridiculous taunts.

So pull your head out of your ass and don’t cost this team with just the dumbest plays possible, like we are prone to do.
