Stars Return From Holiday Break, Host Blackhawks In Dallas – Game 39 | DLLS STARS PREGAME

The National Hockey League’s three-day Christmas break is over and the game schedule resumes tonight as the Dallas Stars host the Chicago Blackhawks at American Airlines Center (7 p.m. CT). The Stars are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night at Little Caesars Arena, snapping a four-game winning streak, but they remain on a five-game point streak (4-0-1) and they are 8-2-1 in their last 11 games. The Blackhawks are dealing with a much worse run of form, currently on a six-game losing streak, with their last win coming on December 10th against the New York Rangers. After a promising 10-5-4 (24 pts., 0.632) start to the season, Chicago’s season took a nose dive in late November as they are 3-12-2 (8 pts., 0.235) in the last 17 games. To make matters worse, the Blackhawks are missing Connor Bedard with a shoulder injury; he has missed the last five games and is expected to be reevaluated in early January.
