OKC is going to get the number one pick while the Pacers get screwed out of drafting a generational talent after enduring the season from hell.

  1. This is why I don’t get the tanking hype. Nothing in the NBA is guaranteed with the lottery.

  2. If it does goes this way, it’s going to be even worse.

OKC will draft Dybantsa & flip JDub for 5 more firsts

  3. Honestly this isn’t as bad as it seems.

Dallas Mavericks need a point guard. They are going to pick up Darryn Peterson or Mikel Brown Jr. That’s one team that you don’t need to worry about picking a guy that can help the Pacers.

The Nets COULD pick up Boozer, but they again have significant issues with ball handling so they again are likely going the same route as Dallas.

Pelicans have Derik Queen as a center, and Zion as a PF. They need an upgrade in the wing position. Look for them to try to get AJ, or Nate Ament.

So that leaves OKC. Who need what? BPA. So they could pick up AJ or Boozer or Caleb Wilson but they can’t pick all 3.

Bottom line is that not only do we have a chance at a player that can significantly help our team, we also have the ability and the need in positions that most other teams that are struggling *do not have*.

So yes, we could go as low as 5th with a bad draft and still there will be people available for us to significantly improve our positions.

  4. I am not so sure. It feels like the clippers are figuring things out. Pacers getting 5th though? Yeah probably. We need that top 3 pick so bad but the lottery is so unforgiving.

  5. Deep draft with lots of talent. This team fully healthy was one win from a title. Make a trade for a legit starting center and add a potential superstar wing like Dybantsa or Wilson and you’re set.

  6. am i the only one who thinks clippers will make playins? they look good recently and can get there with this pace

  7. Silver needs to do the right thing for the league and rig this thing so OKC doesn’t get a top-4 pick. Stern would NEVER let it happen.
