Kevin McCullar Jr. appreciation post: excellent effort on both ends

  1. Coach Brown playing and trusting McCullar out of nowhere in crunch time is crazy given how the past seasons have gone.

  2. Talk about being a forgotten man. Dude was left for dead and literally rose up from the ashes when they needed him most.

That’s a recurring theme with this squad….NEXT MAN UP! 💪🏾

  3. Kinda even looks like Josh in a weird way. The better we play the more the bench can play, and the better they get. Let’s keep it going.

  4. He plays with some good intensity and hustle.Made some rookie mistakes 3 TO and 4 PF in 24min.Had two moving screens in brief span but for his first meaningful minutes he showed up.

  5. Congrats to McCullar! Big game and yes, I agree. I love how Mike Brown is giving the bench players a chance to get out there and play and prove themselves.

  6. Yabu not seeing the floor again at this rate. Diawara and McCullar generally look like the type of players who can see 7 minutes of playoffs or backup during an injury.

  7. He can genuinely earn rotation minutes. We need a wing that can defend guards and he fits that description

  8. What’s impressive is that he looks very fluid and he played some great defense. Switched and flight over screens nicely. I really think he can be a piece for us.

He was projected as a first rounder but fell due to his injury. Hope he can stay healthy and develop!

  9. Guys stepping up when we are shorthanded, I love shit like this and it shows we even are deeper than we originally thought.

  10. The conventional wisdom of keeping young guys rotting on the bench because you’re scared they aren’t ready has never made sense to me. If you’re not giving them opportunities to learn and potentially make some mistakes you are actively hurting the franchise. Shout out Mike Brown.

  11. This is exactly the timing when the rookies need time on the court. Bravo to coach Mike to try things give them a chance when is mostly needed. January goes too fast, and suddenly it’s crunch time of the season and awful timing to try things.
