I’ve got a lot of angst about this team right now. A lot of it is due to uncertainty. Obviously, we need to pivot. The talent on the roster and the coaching staff needs an overhaul. I’m just very worried that we aren’t going to fire Nagy or the underperforming positions coaches. I’m worried that we aren’t going to trade McDuffie and we give him a huge deal. And then I’m worried that we don’t really attempt to rebuild or clean up the cap and instead we just go all in for 2026. The team desperately needs a retooling and restock season. To gear up for the 2nd half of Mahomes career.
I’m hoping Spencer Fano falls to us and we take him. A lot of fans want a sexy pick. A skill position player. Fuck all that. If we get a legit Right Tackle in the draft then we have Left Tackle and Right Tackle set for the next 10 years. Just get it done and get it done right. Then you don’t have to worry about Mahomes’ protection collapsing constantly or holding penalties constantly that kill drives. We won’t have the opportunity to grab a starting Right Tackle again in the Mahomes era. Get it done and then forget about the problem.
