Rebounding is key (Sixers need rebounders).. Love the vids and info btw!! 💯
Can we place the blame where it squarely belongs,on the pathetic Nick Nurse!!!! The longer he stays, the longer the Sixers are going to be mediocre.Period, the time for excuses are over and it's time to move past him.
He was last year on the roster
I like getting Beacuchamp on the 2way
– Then after the Sixers find a way to sign Barlow & Walker to the Roster then the Sixers will have 2 more 2way contracts to fill
2-WAY CONTRACTS- THEY GET 3
1. MarJon beacuchamp – could become a good NBA back up player for depth
2. After signing Barlow then get Jalen Bridges or Patrick Baldwin Jr but I like Bridges more who could be a good NBA back up player for depth
3. After signing Walker then get Kobe Bufkin or Colby Jones or Tristen Newton or TyTy Washington or Zyon Pullin but I like Bufkin or Jones the most who could become good NBA backup players for depth
– Of course after the trade deadline there could be other young players available for the 2way contracts as after the trade deadline some players get waived sometimes
This comes down to Nick nurse and his rotations… he kept Dom Barlow out of the game, why? Idk
Joel is out again that’s the problem. We need 3 players to play at least 40-50 games together.
Marjon Beauchamp is one of those guys who it’s just a matter of time until it clicks because all the tools and skills are there at this point.
He’s basically a poor mans Oubre at this point which is fine I’ll take it.
I’m not worried about Kelly. It is clear that he is is someone who wants to be on the court at all times (even when we are losing by 10 he still gives his all when others are mentally out of it). As someone who has suffered a knee injury that took a long time to come back from, it is important to make sure you are 100 before coming back which is hard especially mentally after suffering an injury like that in such an important joint.
RED flag: Dude was a 1st Rd pick and he's doing a 2-way contract to barely make an NBA roster.
Don't hold your breath.
You'll suffocate.
He kept Dominic Barlow in the game
D League material for now.
Beauchamp has 3 yrs of NBA experience, so this is the last year he is eligible to be a 2-Way player.
And MarJon hasn't lost any hops. He's more explosive than Kelly Oubre.
But there is absolutely nothing sneaky about signing Beauchamp to a 2-Way.
The moment Morey signed him to a 2-way, it was clearly to replace Hunter Sallis as a 2-way.
There was no way MB was signed to bolster the BlueCoats.
I always like Beauchamp. And Morey realized he never was given a real chance playing for Doc Rivers.
He hasn't lost much athleticism, but he's gained skill.
Beauchamp played against the Cleveland Charge on Saturday and scored 21 pts with 9 board, 5 assists and 4 steals for the Blue Coats.
Johni Broome also played. I assume both have made their way from CLE to OKC and will be available later today.
Regarding signing Dom Barlow to a standard NBA contract: Who says he and his agent would agree to a standard minimum contract that wouldn't have a player option for next season? If I was Barlow's agent, I would demand the 5.685 M t-MLE with next season being guaranteed.
Also note that Charles Bassey was traded to the GS Warriors G-League team for a couple of future G-League firsts.
Tony Jones has the latest on Kelly Oubre's recovery from his LCL sprain.
At the time it happened, I always expected he wouldn't be playing for around 5 weeks. It looks like it will be just over 6 weeks when Oubre returns.
Any fan who wanted to believe it would only be 3 or 4 weeks is just not in touch with history of these types of Sixers injuries.
I don't see any unusual lack of transparency typical of a NBA team, other than concerning Joel Embiid.
Joel doesn't want people to know too much about his habits (probably to limit criticism). Morey/management will say as little as possible as Daryl has reason to fear the consequences of saying something Joel won't like. Nick Nurse is also afraid of Joel, or else Embiid would already be playing off the bench and forced to fit into the preferred style of play.
