An update on the Rays New Stadium going into 2026

Discussing the Tampa Bay Rays new MLB stadium

  1. They need to learn some lessons from the Marlins. No reason for a retractable roof, just do translucent like Vegas. I continue to believe a team like the A’s or Rays should start a trend of smaller baseball stadiums. Cut capacity way down, make it intimate, comfortable and modern, and then when you only get 10k to show up it could be half full instead of a third full. That may seem like a small difference but imagine one person in every other seat vs. one person per every three seats. It changes the way a venue feels.

  2. The travel time is not a consideration; they just built a $1 billon 12-lane super bridge across the bay (40-50 mins). When I lived in rural Maryland we used to drive 2 + hours to go see an MLB or NFL game. St. Pete has a trendy/cool factor Tampa can only dream of, and its growing like crazy with high rise, $1 million+ plus condos everywhere.

  3. This video is sad; it's like pining for an ex who has said she has moved on. St Pete is never going to have anew stadium when the new owner has said he wants the stadium IN TAMPA.

  4. Florida tax payers will not support a publicly funded sports stadium for the Rays. It won’t even be close to passing a vote. They can use the Trop, 100% fund a new stadium themselves or pack up the moving trucks & hit the road for the next town. Florida has plenty to do and it’s already too expensive to live here as it is. We are all tapped out!

  5. If you check out Raiders 1967 the A's are fully along with there Vegas Stadium id say 35% – 45% complete just check out Raiders 1967 indepth construction videos nothing is derailing the Vegas A:s stadium the people who were saying digging in the dirt either didn't Watch Raiders 1967 Raiders Stadium build videos or other Stadium build videos or they were
    !diots…

  6. I live in St Pete and I don't want a new stadium. I seriously feel it belongs around the Howard Franklin where everybody can see the games and maybe get more attendance. I don't know why everybody thinks we should pay for something that half of the people don't even care about. Use the old stadium till the owners decide what they want to do but as a Saint Pete resident you can take this club and move it somewhere else!
