What is this speech?
I went to bed last night feeling pretty good. I really like the current players, I just always felt like they didn't have the right coaching team. It was nice to see them step up and play well.
Waking up to this speech being pushed out by their social media is pretty lack luster. Is this supposed to be inspiring?
Even when they win, Hiller is disappointing.

There’s plenty of things to criticize Hiller for, but this ain’t one of them imo.
Hiller rolled 4 lines in the first period. Great energy and scoring opportunities.
What happened in the second period? He didn’t roll 4 lines and they got 1 (one) shot on goal.
When will he stop screwing with the line combos?
It’s also obvious he’s not a motivational speaker..
The thing that sticks out to me is that he specifically calls out that all 4 lines were rolling in the first. Talks about how it’s a great period. Then he comes out in the second and shuts down the fourth line, or parts of it at least, and we immediately go back to the losing ways. If I’m a bottom of the roster guy, I’m feeling pretty cheated. Coach is saying the bottom guys were part of the success then immediately sits them and they have to watch the same struggles reemerge. That’s gotta damage confidence in the players and their confidence in Hiller. I don’t see how it won’t.
He’s at best lukewarm when they win and never takes responsibility when they lose. The very opposite of a motivator.
From what I can tell about Hiller from his interviews and speeches this year, he’s an even-keeled coach. When they’re losing games he doesn’t sound frantic or distraught and when they’re winning games he’s not exuberant or boisterous.
He wants his team to click. He thinks they have the talent and drive already, so emotions aren’t what he’s trying to pique.
He’s not exactly wrong.
Between Hiller and taxes I don’t know how we expect any players to want to come and play for us.
Totally unrelated just a thought that came up but he looks like a car salesman lol
Just gonna enjoy the win. There will be plenty of better reasons to pick on Hiller.
Hiller blows goats. I have proof.
If Hiller was a color? Grey. Seems like zero personality.
