  1. Imagine trading off 3 huge players, not making the playoffs
Then you're better than .500 the next year and fans are somehow upset

make that make sense. Lower your expectations bud

  2. When I saw their opening roster at the beginning of the year I laughed and I thought where is the offense going to come from? Predictably they had a rough start to the season but somehow managed to climb in the standings. Then reality hit hard again..this team is so lacking talent and full of overrated players with substantial, long term contracts that management will have trouble moving. The sooner they sell off and realize a total rebuild is necessary the better for the future of the team.
Or continue wallowing in mediocrety . I’d rather give the younger players a chance to gain experience and lose than lose with the veterans!

  3. Turning over the puck in your own end, being late getting back in the play, and generally playing back on your heels for an entire period will not help your goaltender. That 2nd period was embarrassing

Some teams can rely on their talent to get them through the season and it allows them to take their foot off the gas. Thats just not the bruins this season. They are going to have these stretches

At some point they need to think about bringing some youth up for development

  4. I’ll say this: even when they were winning, you were cautioning that there would be a dip or a losing streak at some point. We’re here. Not shocking. Let’s see how they work their way out of it.

  5. The B's are who we thought they were, I have zero problem with them going after a high draft pick. They are not a playoff caliber team, at all. The B's can only win with 100% effort, 99 % and it's a loss.

  6. To be fair we haven't had a consistent line combo for longer than a week at a time outside of the 3rd. Injuries and constant in-game line shake ups; obviously there's no line chemistry 😉 Love to finally see the real team we expected. The fraudulent bubble has burst and now Sweeney gets no excuses or grace given. WE. MUST. SELL. for the better of this teams immediate & longterm future.

  7. let pasta win a cup . some where….he cant help this team anymore…. trade ……………him for a haul………plan for the future next 5 years

  8. This one made me mad. The give-a-shit metric just wasnt there. This team has to play near perfect to get a win due to Sweens roster construction and it starts with giving a damn. The whole team was brutal. I dont need them to win, i dont need them to make the playoffs. I do need them to put the effort in. Theyre professionals ffs.

  9. I don’t think Swayman has sucked, I’m just not sure the resources invested into him is the most productive way for the Bruins to address their needs in a hard Cap league.

  10. Sturm is starting to look very much like Montgomery with his very confusing decision-making. You could tell that he’s insecure because when they’re going gets tough, he puts in the vets and expects them to save the day. The game against the Montréal Canadiens the other day where he made two poor decisions was very indicative of his incision or poor decision making lately he needs to put his head back into what he’s doing and start making courageous decisions again because he’s starting to look like Montgomery and that ain’t good

  11. Even if Sturm is at fault here, he was probably Don Sweeney‘s last coaching change before he gets canned himself. Not saying that Sweeney is doing an all-around bad job but, some of his Sweeney’s decision, making a very iffy also. The snake rots from the head.

  12. At some point we need to realise that the coach isn’t the issue – Cassidy, Monty and now Sturm all had issues. Cassidy went elsewhere and won, Monty in fairness was never the right hire, but Sturm has been brought in to do a retool that the franchise hasn’t committed to. Sturm is fine, Sweeney and Neely need to go as does half the playing roster. Also, who in their right mind thought Buffalo were an easy game? They’ve won their last 7 straight and only lost 6 at home this season – they’re a good team on their day and we’re frankly not

  13. It’s not the coach. It’s the players, you can change coaches forever and have the same result with the same players.

They need to shit can peeke and lohrei. Just destroying the defense.

  14. God I just can't help but look at what this team was becoming, to think like 2 weeks ago we were discussing how if they kept up their pace we could've seen Hagens play for them in the final weeks/round 1 of the playoffs because of how well they were doing…

Looking ahead to March, I think no matter what the B's are going to move on from Arvi, Peeke, and Mittelstadt at the trade deadline, then obv there's Eyssimont, Kuraly, Lohrei and one or two others depending on where they are in the standings by then.

Team desperately needs their youth to jump up. Honestly rn would be the best time to bring up Potsy and Lysell, yeah you risk losing a player or two on waivers but at this point it's worth the risk. Hopefully once Mac gets healthy and Hampus has an actual linemate the defense to somewhat return to a respectable form. Just jeez.

    Go B's? GO B'SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
