Postgame Report: Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase Power Bengals’ 37-14 Win Over Cardinals

Joe Burrow was in complete control, Ja’Marr Chase made NFL history, and the Cincinnati Bengals delivered a 37-14 win over the Arizona Cardinals at Paycor Stadium. James Rapien breaks down a dominant performance that featured efficiency on offense, balance throughout the lineup, and another encouraging showing from a young, improving defense.

Burrow finished 24-of-31 for 305 yards and two touchdowns, while Ja’Marr Chase became the first player in NFL history to record at least 80 catches, 1,000+ receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in each of his first five seasons. Chase Brown continued his breakout stretch with 141 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.

On defense, Myles Murphy continued his strong run, Shemar Stewart recorded his first NFL sack, and the Bengals held Arizona’s rushing attack in check all afternoon. Plus, a memorable moment for Cody Ford highlighted just how in control Cincinnati was in this game.

  1. Let's just hope this Front Office doesn't get "complacent", James…cos they still simply MUST get a couple of strategic players into this Defense!! You have $110 million available to spend…so, for goodness sake…GO BUY US A SUPERBOWL!!!!

  2. Let me see if I get this straight, we keep winning against shit teams and are supposed to feel good about dropping in the draft? All bullshit! There was absolutely no reason to chance any of our prime time starters getting hurt and being out the beginning of next year. But what do I know I'm just another fan who see's the obvious.

  3. Here's one for you as far as us fans focused on draft position. The front office will have to get creative with their draft approach. Look, if Burrow and for that matter Chase and Higgins stay healthy, they will win alot of games, even you were coaching James. So the draft position is going to be less of a premium going forward………hopefully.

  4. This will go down as one of the worst seasons in Bengal's history simply because everything was in place for them to win a Super Bowl. The league is wide open, no real clear dominating team and the Bengals have arguably the best offense. Even with Burrow going out, if the Bengals defense had been simply mediocre they would have been a Super Bowl favorite. Worse than any season in the 90's.

  5. James i heard you say last week offense wins championships i hope you don’t really believe that ? But you do spend like 80% of the offseason talking about the offense so u must believe that

  6. Also James what makes you think the Bengals are playing next level this is the highest level you can go and plus they've only beaten 2 average college teams the last 2 weeks

  7. James, what do these wins mean? Seriously bro. Nothing- thats what. We keep getting worse draft picks. All it means. Nothing else. You feel pretty good about anything here? I feel pretty good about nothing
