4. See what you gotta do is play both. Which if you watch Cale Makar, he usually can do. Force the shooter wide while taking the passing lane away. One timer on your goalie is most likely going in. Wide angle shot is low percentage in a decent goalie

5. It's the desperation that your fan base who pay astronomical amounts of money to watch you play and buy your merchandise are really getting their pitchforks ready.

9. We WILL fall off… but that's ok because everyone in the core except like Larkin and Debrincat who aren't even 30 yet, are like 19-23 years old. This season doesn't matter except for development.

10. Still not convinced with the wings. They Remind me of the leafs from 5 years ago. The defensive play is pretty bad. But they have speed and skill upfront.

13. Hey man if I had heard you call the Wings the Red Sabres 3 months ago, I also would have said "yeah that's about right."

I'm not sold on the wings, it's a strange year for many teams, some are under performing and injury riddled (Leafs/Cats/Bolts) and some are above where they probably should be (Wings/Habs/Sabres). They're certainly a team on the up don't get me wrong, but they're probably a wc team when things are "normal".

15. You think the prospects on the wings are good now… oh just you wait till Bear and Plante get into the lineup. Don't forget Cossa and Auguestine in net. This is just the beginning for the wings.

28. I love how at a baseline everyone is saying “well at least they are watchable again” I love this fanbase, but losing isn’t winning so I don’t care

29. I thought the Leafs were the better team for the first two periods. Detroit was always going to make a push, and they came hard in the third and tied it up, but the Leafs never looked like they didn’t belong on the ice with the Wings. It was a game that could’ve gone either way, and if they keep playing like this, there’s a good chance they make the playoffs.

30. When does this guy not complain about officiating? Won't say anything about the Wings guys getting buried from behind twice but upset that McMann was handed an extra for running the goalie. Make it make sense

31. I mean Red Wings are getting outscored. They’re not very good. But w/ that being said I DO hope they end their drought this year (same w/ the Sabres)

32. Im no coach but on 2on1s i thought as a defenceman your always supposed to take away the pass and let the goalie take the shot. The goalie can square the shooter and if they score its probably a nice shot. I dont know who is telling you to take the shooter as a defenseman because all you do is fuck over the goalie because now instead of just standing there and squaring up he has to move laterally and make an unbelievable save most likely. Take away the pass 100% of the time and let the goalie take the shooter.
