  2. Btw does it feel like this offseason we have seen so many more teams than the typical making moves?! Like the pirates and Aโ€™sโ€ฆ I know part of it is they finally have a team they can build around, but part of me also feels this is lowkey because of the upcoming lockout and the whole conversation about floor/ceiling and these bottom feeders not doing they partโ€ฆis this a one year offseason fluke as a strategy to the upcoming lockout or is this legitimately a turning point for these franchises?? What do you guys think?

  3. 2023 Diamondbacks were the fluke of all flukes. They swept the far superior Dodgers in the DS. Thatโ€™s called randomness. They were down quickly to the superior Phillies in the CS. Thatโ€™s what was expected. And then they were defeated by the Rangers in the World Series. At no point were they the best team in the playoffs.

Which isnโ€™t to say theyโ€™re going to suck in 2026. They absolutely could become top-tier contenders. Just saying that this is why 84-win teams have no business in the playoffs.
