I wasn't sure how to feel when we got Brock Nelson. I knew he was a good player, but I didn't know how well he'd do in the Avs system. He has surprised me in all the best ways. Guy is an absolute stud. His play-making and vision are unreal. His shot is a laser, and he has zero quit. Love this guy.

  5. He’s an absolute worker, unselfish, and tough a hell. He and Toewser are similar in these respects.

  6. Best two way second center the Avs have had in a long time. His defense is just as good as his scoring ability. This team doesn’t have Nelson without the Mikko-Necas/Drury trade. If they signed Mikko for around 13M, that would’ve started this year. There would’ve been no room to sign Nelson.
