Bijan Robinson has quietly put together one of the greatest individual seasons from a running back in NFL history

If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?
Bijan is in the King Henry/Saquan/CMC tier of RBs, but flies under the radar because we lose to teams like the Jets and get ourselves eliminated from playoff contention in November.
What did they say last night? He accounts for 40% of offense all season and was at 70% last night at one point? Yea. Generational player. Love him while he’s here (in the NFL)
Edit: I just want to add anecdote. Watching him play is unbelievable. He has that Devin Hester thing where he can wait a second and WATCH lanes open up. Then he knows his own incredible ability so well and hits those seams like nobodies business. Plays where normal backs may get 3 to 5 yards with a good effort, he turns into 8 to 10 yards because he’s so freakishly good at vision, jump cuts, and just hard running. Guy just explodes off the TV screen most snaps that go to him.
Steven Jackson did NOT have those numbers on our team.
Man. Steven Jackson. What a let down he was for us.
Let’s not forget all the shit the falcons got from their own fans, and fans around the league about how taking a running back that high in the draft was a stupid move with all of our other issues. Without Bijan this team would be sitting on 3 wins at best this season. We have a generational talent in RB rn.
Absolute travesty if he’s not an all pro
Eight straights years and counting. Not to take anything away from Bijon, but what is it really worth if we can’t win? Without him, we’re what, like 3-13 at this point?
Don’t get me wrong. I love this dude. I said to a friend last night that he looked like Barry Sanders on the run where he put his hand on the ground and changed course and I immediately said that I bet his 93 yarder was a franchise record. Not that that is some grand conclusion but I knew right away and they didn’t say one thing about it on the telecast. In case you were wondering it was a 90 yarder by Warrick Dunn that he eclipsed.
My broader point being, this is a team sport. Yes, it’s great when you have a standout player, but wtf does it really matter when you have a losing record and miss the playoffs AGAIN? Am I the only one who was hoping for a collapse so we can get a new coach?
Ready for the downvotes! Not taking anything away from our guy and his performance this season. Just want to start winning again. Losing sucks.
