Just a kid from Eureka, Missouri, Cam Janssen cemented his legacy in Blues history throughout a hard-hitting four seasons as the Blues enforcer, racking up 470 penalty minutes through 165 regular season games in the ‘Note.

Janssen sat down with our crew to discuss growing up as a fan of the Blues, getting drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 2002, his trade to St. Louis and playing in the ‘Note alongside Blues icons like Keith Tkachuk, Paul Kariya, T.J. Oshie, as well as the fights, matchups and moments that defined his career.

  2. hull was a lazy player that constantly quit on the blues and fans .. i remember all of us blues fans wanting hull gone and traded around 92 93 or so..most real fans grew tired of hull and his bs and wanted him gone

  5. If you are saying negative things about Cam, you obviously have not played youth hockey in St. Louis, and experienced his love for the game when everyone else is telling you that you are wasting your time playing hockey.

  6. Wow! That really brought back alot of fond memories! Those were some crazy times back then !!! Thanks for the memories Cam, it was always a spectacle when you stepped on the ice, it was like watching a human pinball bouncing around off everything and you always knew you were gonna get under somebody's skin and make them drop the gloves lol! 😆👍 You always had a ton of heart behind every punch you threw and I admired you for that my friend, you'll always be a favorite of mine in the Blues organization! Thank you for all the energy you brought to the team, I'll always remember how much fun it was to be a Blues fan back then, you'll never be forgotten bro! 😉👍🇺🇸

  7. When I was deployed I saw the trade for Cam Jansen. I was stoked! He's STL born and bread, he's not letting anybody screw with any of our players, he played his ass off and I enjoyed every second of him representing the Blues. I also love the Cam and Strict podcast and all the things that Cam's done for youth hockey in St Louis. Thanks buddy!

  8. That’s crazy that I went to this high school! I had a football coach tell me one time that cam played football and when he wanted to give it up to play hockey one of the coaches said he was making the biggest mistake of his life!!! How wrong he was
