  1. Get Kasper going which i think he will soon break out. Also call MBN back up soon and how about giving Wallinder or Buium a shot soon along with Cossa getting some games.

  2. The team badly needs at least 1 more legit bottom 4 dman, but they also need every bit as badly and maybe even more badly, a legit top 6 type winger to play with Larkin and Raymond. The team does not have a top line. Finnie has completely wiped out Larkin and Raymond at 5v5. It's as if they are both Joe Veleno, both by their production at 5v5 now and the team's GF/GA at 5v5 now w them on the ice. And when Kane went out and the dominant 2nd line was no longer existing for 6 games, things got even worse – their line lost 0-6 in those 6 games, without the 2nd line playing well and drawing attention and working the opponent.

Finnie has 3 5v5 points (1 goal 2 assists) in his last 31 games. That is absurd given where he's been playing and who with. And now he's taken Larkin and Raymond there with him. Dylan Larkin has 1 5v5 point his last 13 games. He has no assists of any kind his last 13 games. The team is losing 4-10 with Larkin on the ice at 5v5 over his last 14 games. Raymond the last 13 games has 4 points at 5v5 and no goals.

The 2nd line looks great but McLellan seems to be using the 2nd line's goodness to "get away with" doing what he wants to do which is continue to favor Finnie and keep him on top line where he has no business being. If this team had a functioning top line, with that 2nd line being what it is, with that top d pair being what it is, with Pellikka chipping in offensively w the 2nd line now, with Gibson playing well – this becomes a very very strong team.

As long as Finnie is on top line this team will be fraudulent. Opponents laugh when they see him out there. The team is playing w one hand tied behind its back by the coach.
