  1. Total mediocrity with Schoen. I will gladly eat my words if by this time next season, we are at min the Bears of this season. I think we under estimate as fans how important coaching is and as much as we hate constant turnover, we still clamor for it
Lets see if he learned from his mistakes. I have a feeling if our new head coach is Lou Anaroumo, its going to be more of the same.

  2. The Giants were a mess for a decade before Schoen, a lot of our holes was because of this. The draft is traditionally like 50% hits. Not sure he should stay, but who else is out there. Hit on the coach, and a few good draft pics… and we are a different team next year. Dabol is still a really good offensive mind.

  3. shoen must be fired. if not the new coach has 1 year to succeed ot shoen and the new coach will be fired together. but really mara has done this before and it failed. not very attractive job for a new coach.

  4. I think that the take "well you've only won 3 games" is far too simplistic of a reason to make such a major decision that will affect the future of the franchise. The Giants had the HARDEST schedule in the NFL this season. You cannot expect a team with 3 wins last season, starting a rookie qb, with the hardest schedule in the NFL, to get 10+ wins. But okay, "why didnt we get 7ish wins" is a fair question to ask. Well its not Joe Schoens fault we lost to the Cowboys, it looked like we had the better roster the entire game, but our D coordinator was incompetent. Its not Schoens fault we lost to the Broncos, we had the better roster 3/4 of the game, blowing that big of a lead can only be on the coaching staff. It wasnt the strength of our roster that lost us an OT game to the lions, if our coach let our qb play football, we wouldve beat the Vikings, and the Bears game couldve gone either way. Without even mentioning the emotional downstream effects those losses had on the players in the games afterward, I just found us 4 losses against playoff caliber teams that had nothing to do with our gm. If the Giants had the Patriots schedule, I would guarantee nobody would be talking about firing Schoen. He has had misses for sure but I think almost the same amount of hits, which you talked about many of them in tbis video, but also others. Getting Jones on a contract that didnt seriously negatively impact the future when we had to cut him. Not resigning saquon (which everyone hates on him for) was actually clearly the correct move. I could go on, but bottom line is I think were essentially punishing him for getting an unlucky schedule and losing games that were not gis fault. Would love to gear your thoughts on this, keep doing what you do!

  5. The only logical argument I can hear from anyone saying let him stay is he is my father he is my son or he is husband even his friends can’t deny it they say fresh start 😂

  6. So when you say, "Keeping the books clean" is your job as a GM…..
    Per Google AI
"Philadelphia Eagles: Widely recognized as the pioneers and biggest users (of void years), with over $390M to $427M in void money projected into future years (2026-2033), a tactic to create present-day flexibility."
Definitely not clean books, yet Howie Roseman is widely considered a super star GM and every time there is a high priced FA, Philly often finds a way to get involved.
And if Roseman would leave Philly today, probably at least half of the teams would jump on the opportunity to sign him.
Schoen could have gone that way (assuming Mara would have allowed it), signed more blue chip players, kick a lot of guaranteed money into the future but he didn't.
I don't know what it is, but the Giants always seem to be affected more by injuries than other teams. The Chargers are down 2 Ts and go to the playoffs where the Giants lose Nabers and Skatteboo and the team is in shambles.
Last year when AT got injured in wk5 the team fell apart.
Other than the lack of depth knock, the only knock you can really give him imo is that they should have fired Shane Bowen, much much much earlier.
