What happened to Willis?
I also really want to see Ridder do well, I always really liked the guy, he just wasn’t very good.
Falcons could have drafted Willis that year, but we got Ridder instead… Will be interesting to see if Falcons go after Willis in the offseason.
Why would you ever want to see anyone on the Packers succeed?
There were a few weeks there when I was a real believer in him. Obviously didn’t pan out but I wish him nothing but the best. Shoot, maybe he will improve and come back and win us that Super Bowl he promised us.
pretty crazy that his only start since leaving Atlanta was against Atlanta
Yea man it be like that
Desmond “Brett Farve” Ridder
Pretty terrible decision maker on the field but man it’d be nice to see him succeed. Really hit me in the feels when he was talking about his kid and playing for another team.
I don’t want to see him succeed and that’s something I rarely say about anyone.
Ridder Super Bowl will be magical
…more like a guy I don’t want to see fail. I don’t especially care to see him succeed
I think he could be a really good coach. Nothing ever came easy for him.
To this day Ridder is my favorite player that didn’t work
Supremely athletic (one of the highest QB RAS scores ever) and had football IQ but just couldn’t make it happen on the field
He wasn’t good but I also don’t think Arthur smith helped him out, but we’ll always have the Green Bag and Houston games
I’ll always root for Ridder.
Character wise he’s easy to like and he does have talent.
Just got to put it all together.
I live a few miles away from the Falcons HQ. Ridder bought a modest house (for an NFL player) about a mile from me, and neighbors say he was very down to earth. No matter what happens in the league, I don’t think he’ll be the “homeless former NFL player” story.
The weird subset of people who were actively rooting against him last year was just weird.
He didn’t actively DO anything to the team besides just, unfortunately, not succeeding as a starting QB. He was personally my QB1 that draft but none of that is on him, he just didn’t have the goods. Hoping he finds his footing as a QB2.
