December 31: 4-0-0
December 30: 2-0-1 (1 divisional game and it went to OT)
December 29: 2-1-1
December 28: 2-0-2 (2 divisional games and both went to OT)
The only regulation loss an Atlantic team saw was Ottawa.
Meant to comment yesterday about Knies taking Hischier down in about 3 seconds. Can’t stand the Leafs, but Hischier deserved that after his shenanigans against Detroit

Another wild stat – overall stats by division:
Atlantic: 167-116-32 – .580 points %. Worst in division is .538%
Central: 159-111-47 – . 575 points %. Worst in division is .447% (inflated by top 3 teams)
Metro: 161-115-4 – .572 points %. Worst in division is .512%
Pacific: 144-123-46 – .533 points %. Worst in division is .449%.
The basic stats don’t give it justice. I haven’t seen an eastern conference with this much parity ever. Not one team below .500% half way through the season. 9 of the 10 worst teams are in the western conference.
Last place in the EAST is only 1 point out of a wildcard spot if they were in the WEST.

Another side note: Re: Jets, if they decide to retool/rebuild here, I would be very interested in 2 particular players.
1 – Kyle Connor, newly inked to a 8 year $12M extension. Would command a hefty price (ie. 1st, Grade A prospect, Grade B prospect), but I would be all in on him.
2 – Logan Stanley, he is a UFA at the end of the year and is a 27 year old left shot defenseman that is 6’7. He is playing quite well this year for the Jets and has 7 goals. Could be pretty cheap as well (I don’t think he commands a 1st), but could really solidify a 4-5 spot for us for the forseeable future.
I feel like the Penguins totally dominate or the exact opposite (at least the ones I watched or payed attention to so far) hopefully they are not having a good night. LGRW
