  13. People talk about him being propped up by the incompetence of the DPOS, but lets not forget his true advantage. Playing for a team that employs Colin Campbell’s son. In case you forgot, Colin was found in court to have sent emails demanding refs call games in favor of his son Gregory, who was a player and is now the Panthers’ AGM.

  18. I hate how the panthers play as much as the next hockey fan, but I also don’t place the blame on the players either. There are a lot of players who would play the exact same as Bennett if traded to the panthers.

    I also can understand them not choosing Bennett or Scheifele simply because of how many elite C’s are on Canada already, most likely went w point n celebrini/Cirelli over Bennett and scheifele. Then you have Crosby, mcdavid, MacKinnon. Tough calls all around, and there are wingers that fill Bennett and scheifele’s roles, as well as some cooper influence.

I personally loved when one of the panels were trying to say how pissed they were that he didn’t make it and it cuts to a highlight of Marner stick handling through a group of players and spoon feeding Bennett an on the tape pass where hes all alone… like a monkey could probably score at that point… that was a Mitch Marner highlight

O-Dog doesn’t have a clue the Four Nations or any event done by the NHL is NHL rules / hockey the Olympics is completely different and yes there are players on the Canadian team that were at the Four Nations but when it comes to Tom Willson he can do some things that Bennett can’t and or doesn’t

  29. I’m glad he didn’t make the roster not because he’s a dirty player who is protected by the league but because there is no fighting and the NHL can’t protect him from dirty elbow hits so he would be a liability and isn’t skilled enough. Having him on the team would have made them worse.

  30. I didnt really want Marchand either, but Ill take him over Bennett.

    Would have been better if both were left off because they dint have the Florida protection the NHL gives them and I feel the way Marchand plays is going to be a detriment unless he can keep that kind of play in check.

  32. From a general point of view, it makes sense. Him and Tom Wilson play a similar tougher/gritty game who can get points here and there. We only need a couple of them. Marchand is a richman version of the prototype and is pretty much a lock on the team until he’s done. So it was one or the other.

    Was kinda shocked how the commentator responded. It’s not like Canada left Mcdavid off the roster buddy, it’s not that deep 🤣

  33. If Wilson or Marchand or Cirelli gets hurt in the next month he is likely in so maybe hold off on opening that bottle of champagne. I think Cooper may have used up his loyalty card on Cirelli and Binnington so injury replacement might not be just his call.

  39. As someone who grew up in Southern Ontario right near Holland Landing and even had friends who played a bit of hockey with him. I wish I could have given him the news myself, never heard a good word about this guy on or off the ice.

    The way he plays hockey doesn’t translate well to the international game, and he’s been Trash this season, I can name atleast 5 people I’d rather have before making it to this asshole.

  43. The fact is that Olympics Hockey is governed by IIHF. Unlike the 4Nation, which was an NHL product, there is no room for Bennett’s play at that tournament.
