Harper was a star caliber player, dealt with some injuries, remade himself a role player for the bulls. There were not flashy numbers but he was solid every game, cool calm and collected. Great defender, great basketball IQ. Dude was a winner that didn't need a spotlight, just did all the little things to help win championships.

Anyway, who do you guys think some of the most underrated bulls players are?

  1. I’m an Aussie and I remember waaay back when I was little first seeing NBA games him playing for Cleveland, and the American accent of the commentators tricked me and my friends we thought his name initially was Ron Hopper, just fun little dun kid story.

  2. Probably one of the more underrated players in NBA history even before his Bulls stint

  3. Harper was SOLID for the Bulls’ second three-peat. His defense and IQ was the perfect thing they needed.

It was so darn scary for any team to go against the Bulls back then. You basically went against FOUR All-Defensive First Team as starters. Geez.

  4. I remember it was exciting when he signed with the Bulls based on his resume with Cleveland and the Clippers. Then he came here and his first season was really disappointing. I thought he was going to be a nonfactor going forward. But then he adjusted his game to more of a role player once MJ returned and was a vital piece of the puzzle. He made himself valuable to those teams when he very easily could have rested on his laurels. Respect.
