  1. Rachael: Seems like you guys are winning right now you think that’s gonna keep going

    Markstrom: 🤷‍♂️

  2. I said I wouldn’t watch it all but I got sucked in and did and they won! Is my curse lifted now? Marky was great and looks like he’s on his game, kind of like how he looked in November/December last year only a it’s a month late. But if he continues like this who cares. More goals from guys who were slumping, a DOUGIE goal? Really just a perfect (well nearly perfect) game. Can they follow it up tomorrow? Please I hope so..

  3. In his last 4 games, Markstrom has given up 7 goals on 13.5 expected. He’s definitely feeling it right now.

  4. Solid win. Markstrom looked good, pp got a goal, and dougie getting on the board will hopefully kick start things for him the rest of the way. Only concern is the pk. Yes, the Utah goal was as the pp expired. However, they look sloppy at times. Otherwise, good win and hopefully can go back to back against Carolina tomorrow.

  5. Great game, really like Meier with Dawson and Gritsyuk, always feel like his ability to lead a line has been underutilized here (he particularly played great with Dawson and McLeod back in 2023-24)

  6. Full Sixty Minute Effort:

    * this felt like a complete game by the boys
    * at no point did I feel like the Mammoth were dominating us
    * and most importantly this felt a lot like our play during the win streak/October
    * hoping this is what 2026 Devils hockey looks like
    * so so so happy for Marky
    * he kept us in the game in the beginning there, was clutch during the that first period PK. he looked good and in control!
    * Dougie goal! hoping this does something for the guy…
    * the Euros scored for us! Bratter, Timo, and Nico!
    * Jack is so good at setting up plays man. that Timo goal and then the Nico goal. his hockey IQ is massive.
    * Marky deserved the shutout. bad defending by Pesce and Dillon on that one. but that was the only real screw up for the game so no need to harp on them. especially since Pesce had assists on two of the goals.
    * love playing against Utah.

tomorrow is Nico’s birthday, so please lets get our Captain another win for his birthday.

  7. I mean that was as close to a perfect win as you can get most nights, what a game, hopefully all the goal droughts broken tonight hurl this teams momentum forward, on to a real test in Carolina.

  8. Despite our recent struggles, we’re only a point out of the wildcard and 2 out of second in the division. The metro being so evenly mid across the board has really kept us in things. If we can just get rolling somewhat consistently with games like this, we will be fine

  9. Missed most of the game but from what I saw, they were clicking today and more importantly, playing with some BALLS especially Siegenthaler. He brought that “physicality” today and the team in general looked good and played a nice solid game. Let’s keep this momentum going and come out hard against the struggling canes ! LGD!

  10. Man as a fan of both teams this felt like watching my parents fight. Ultimately as a Devils fan first I’m happy with the outcome, and both the Devils and the Mammoth fan in me are satisfied with the 7-2 win against the Islanders on Thursday. Tempted to get myself a custom “Pederka” jersey

  11. Sweet game pretty much start to finish. We got a couple lucky bounces but we also had pretty great defensive games from Hamster and Siegster. Markstrom was incredible, which helps a ton. If Glass can stay healthy he is a huge huge boon to the team. A much-needed game, now we have to snowball on these divisional rivals coming up. We’re catchin up, but that won’t continue if we lose “four point” games, especially to the Isles.

  12. So if I wanted to be a nitpicker, I’d say some of the stats indicate it was a good game, but shaky in some areas; they’ve had some better play in games they’ve lost of late, after all.

But let’s be real, this team was *hurting*; physically, no duh (and I’m guessing some of the injured guys have needed some games to start rounding into form), but I can’t imagine what the mental toll’s been just feeling like nothing they were doing was working. A game like this one, where Markstrom did what was needed when the occasion arose, where some breaks *finally* went their way, and where the score meant it was never truly in doubt and they didn’t get tempted to grip the sticks too tight or whatever? That counts for a **lot** after all they’ve gone through.

The talent and the ability to make big waves are all there, and hopefully a win like this one has them feeling like themselves again. I hope they come out flying against the Canes, a win tomorrow would be a big time statement.
