Despite all our recent struggles, we’re still very much in the mix of things. If we can get a run of consistent play going, we can easily launch back into the top echelon of the division

  1. Just keep getting points any way we can. 41 games left. 50 points in those games SHOULD be enough for a playoff spot

  2. I watched the 3rd period of the Islander game and man, first off thanks for nothing Leafs, they can fuck off after the brutal showing against them last week and then they blew a lead late in the 3rd. Also Schafer is unreal. Can’t begrudge the Islanders for landing the 1st overall since we’ve been lucky twice but wow, he’s really turned things for them. Washington still managed a loser point of course and Canes lost but I’m a little nervous of them being angry af tomorrow and we absolutely suck against them in all situations so, yeah. But points are massive right now. This division and conference is crazy tight.

  3. The next 8 days are huge for the outcome of this season. We absolutely need to beat the Islanders and Penguins in regulation and get at least 7 points from this 5-game stretch.

  4. We are legitimately three wins away from making everything tighter than you know what

  5. It’s so crazy that we’ve been absolutely shut for like almost two months and somehow we’re still right in the race. Has all of the metro been crap or did our early run give us some space? When we were in that run it didn’t feel like we had much extra space.

  6. With three division rival games starting tomorrow, Devils have a chance to make big gains in the division if they can play as well as they did today.

  7. No one is out of reach, there’s too many games to play still. And one or two 2-point swings for a win will got a long way to removing that deficit.
