CJ Stroud is why our offense has been able to score enough to win in these past 5 games.

Looking at our offense outside of Nico Dalton and Tytus, it's entirely made up of rookies and castaways. Nick Caley is also a first time play caller and not a very good one at that. Not a very ideal situation for a young quarterback.

I’m no ‘Mills > Stroud” guy, but Mills did this too.
It’s that stiff D why the Texans are winning.
And Dalton is fucken sketchy sometimes. 🫣
All he needs to do is throw it to Nico
I’m a proud Stroud boy, he’s our QB and I wouldn’t have it any other way
He’s also why we’re 30th in red zone efficiency
We haven’t done much to help CJ. The first two drives last week showed us that he still has the skillset to be an elite qb, but then we went back to ass playcalling. I’m worried about him because he probably has ptsd from last year and this year is only somewhat better. He still has a tremendous ceiling, but I just pray that we are the team that helps him get there. Caley needs to get his shit together fast – I understand he’s a first time playcaller but he’s gotta do better. The adjustments he’s made as the season has gone on do give me some hope – first with bringing in a 6th lineman, then with changing things up for The Neck, then for his changes late against the jags. I THINK he’s finally starting to show his identity, but we can’t afford to have another start as slow as we did this year
I’ll add to this, the only reason our line isn’t statistically bottom 5 is because the ball gets out super quickly, Stroud is still the most pressured QB in the league, and tons of plays run and pass get blown up because of terrible blocking. Pair that with “questionable” play calling it’s a miracle the team has hit 20 points as many times as it has
Counterpoint: the defense is why the amount of points our offense has scored is enough to win.

Can’t believe they got a live view of Hutchinson when Stroud throws him the ball
They’ve barely invested in the offense compared to the defense, and their investments haven’t exactly worked out (Diggs, Tank, Mixon, etc). CJ with proper offensive infrastructure will be fun to watch in a couple years
Well he’s the qb. 🙄
Dude, You’re tripping. We’ve continued to win DESPITE Stroud. He’s almost pissed away two leads and if it wasn’t for our defense and Kai’mi, the Raiders game would’ve been our nail in the coffin. We’re riding high, but it ain’t because of CJ. Grow up and Be realistic Count Chocula
I don’t know where I can find this stat but the Texans’ time of possession with the lead has got to be ginormous. For most of the season, the Texans have had the lead in most games for a very large majority of the time. Other than the Seahawks and Jaguars game, the Texans have had the lead for a majority of the time in every game.
We have a defense that can almost guarantee a win if the offense can score 2-3 touchdowns.
Hears a real brave statement. Danielle Hunter has gotten nowhere near enough credit for what he’s done this year.
