Detroit Is Making The NBA Uncomfortable Again

The Detroit Pistons are breaking every modern NBA rule. No threes, physical defense like it’s the 2000s, and ugly wins. Let’s unpack why Detroit’s throwback style is dominating the East right now.

  1. Honest question. We all know that pro sports, including the NBA are fixed, so why are you watching? I guess it's a form of Soap Opera, but still, not very compelling.

  2. Stew doesn't necessarily fill up a stat sheet, but his toughness is crucial and irreplaceable. I get irrationally angry when I see people suggest trading him.

  3. Shoot I remember how much Jordan disliked the original bad boys because he couldn't stand how physical they were 😂 watch the bad boys documentary it's great

  4. Better than the 3, the three point play (and 1) gives an even greater advantage. And 1’s yield 2.5 points per attempt whereas 3 pointers yield only 1.08 per attempt. Opponents also foul out and play less aggressively. This is why players like Deni Advija are the real future.

  5. I know better than to get too hyped up about any of the Detroit teams. But I’m glad to see them finally getting some wins, let’s see how long it last

  6. I think the 3pt shooting will be the downfall of this team unfortunately. They’re a super fun group to watch, I loved the battle they had with the knicks in the playoffs last year

  7. If you play solid fundamental basketball and make more of your higher percentage shots inside the 3 point line you can easily beat most teams…even the ones who shoot the 3 at a high percentage.

  8. ACTUAL basketball played properly will always outperform whatever gimmick lame ass analytics style they’re playing now. Basketball played through the paint was, is, and always will be more entertaining for watch.

  9. Shades of the Wallace era Detroit and a not-so-murderous Bad Boys Pistons. We need this kind of basketball back.
Pretty sure Adam is drafting new rules to ruin the Pistons.

  10. This style has made me pay attention to the pistons when in the fact I rooted for them but don’t pay much attention. I love the bad boy style return. Out physicaling a team is my favorite type of basketball

  11. If it ain't broke don't fix it

My Detroit pistons invented the full court press, and are the epitome of gritty physical D. The bad boys broke records, going to work era broke the system.

Gentlemen sweep of Shaq and Kobe, without a single "superstar" that's a statement in any era

Take the 04 pistons then add a superstar and you see what we have been blessed with as of late.

You know basketball may actually have hope if the Pistons and the Spurs are taking everyone to school again

  12. The Pistons are playing playoff basketball and they’re doing it in the regular season. This is what’s gonna give them an edge during the playoffs.

While other teams are gonna try and increase their physicality and slow the game down and change your styles, the Pistons are gonna be having an edge because they’ve been doing it all season

  13. Of course the league hates pistons…

NBA is dominated by "star scorers" … Those who wants to score but never defend 😂😂😂😂😂

That once you rough em up… They cry foul… And say "you're destroying the league" when they hog all possession 😂😂😂😂😂

Why Jordan became the GOAT is mostly because he respects the pistons enough to rough em up the way they rough him up 😂😂😂😂😂

Oh… "They always act tough when they are up" 😂😂😂😂😂😂

But once punch in the face… They cry foul 😂😂😂😂😂
