Michkov seeing the net from this angle and just ripping a shot like he fully expects it to find its way in, pretty much every game at this point

  1. He’s not trying to put the puck in the net, he’s trying to hit the goalie. It’s the goalies job to put it in the net.

  2. That short side shot attempt was not from behind the net. He tried. You never know if you don’t try

  3. He’s become a bit too predictable with it & that’s why it’s not going in as much, but I still like the play. It has little risk & it can go in, create a rebound/chaos around the net or a OZone faceoff.

  4. If you can’t center a pass from that angle, if no one’s open, might as well flick one in there and see what happens

  5. As a beer leaguer…Shit happens at this angle. That’s all I’ll say. I get why he would shoot from there. It’s an unexpected angle and can cause chaos for a Goalie. Percentage is low but scoring chance is also high rebound wise.

  6. While I agree he over uses this method I am gonna assume by your snark that you are either are an excellent troll or an older fella that doesn’t like the idea of taking advantage of a goalies lapse in positioning because below the goal line is less of a traditional danger zone.
