  1. Dead? I liked terry at time s he hasn’t been god awful. but he’s the gm of what has been a bad org. Bro is 36-48 over his tenured career. Raheem is an issue but terry isn’t some god being held back or anything. Great draft this year… what about the other years? Any hits outside of the first? Or shit even his firsts with penix and Pitts instead of … idk Jamar Chase and Bo nix or something

  2. Blank needs to step down. Is Terry perfect? No. Should he be fired? Maybe, but theres more of a debate there. The insanely bad coaching we’ve seen with our OC and STC is happening under Raheem’s watch. The poor clock management over two seasons by Morris shows ineptitude. In my opinion, Terry has provided a playoff caliber team that is being held back by coaching. The people getting fired should be Raheem, Zac, and Marquise. Perhaps Blank is scared to lose Ulbrich? I’m sure many coaches would be fine with keeping him as their DC with how well he’s done this year. This is peak Falconing if Terry goes and Raheem stays. I honestly now want us to get dismantled by the Saints 40-0 so it pushes the needle back them both getting fired.

  3. It’s unlikely we’d fire Terry AND Raheem at the same time. Kick Terry out, give Raheem one more year and then see what happens (spoiler: we will still be awful because we don’t have a first round pick)

  4. This screenshot is exactly what everyone is saying Morris is going to say to keep his job. “See how good I did recently?!”. The Falcons have good individual players but aren’t a good team. They’re a laughing stock in primetime games. They’re a laughing stock in their division. I’d like to watch a Falcons game like I watch a Rams or Bills game thinking this is a good team and they’ll probably win. That’s not a big ask as a fan of any team.

  5. We want a new GM to pick his coaching staff. not the other way around. I see this as a certainty that the new GM will have Raheem out next season, at the latest.

I think people have a short memory regarding Terry… First, give him whatever props you want to give him this season with two #1 picks and a 3rd rounder, all working out wonderfully! Aren’t #1 picks supposed to work out? Isn’t that the threshold of expectation? Full trophy for the 3rd rounder!

We’ve been complaining and moaning about the lack of a pass rush for 4 (FOUR) drafts. Four years of complaining about this guy failing to address what was clearly the glaring need for this team. Does anyone remember that? FOUR drafts to finally get it right.

$180MM. $180MM. – Roughly 15 games from Cousins. Anyone want that on their resume?

Penix. 2 ACL Penix. (Now 3). #8 OVERALL pick. 47 days after the aforementioned $180MM Cousins decision. Are you guys kidding me? What percentage of experts said this was “a reach” at best?… Um, all of them.

And now the headliner for this guys resume: Playoff appearances. 0. Winning records. 0. Division Titles (in the worst division int the last 40 years of NFL football. 0.

Anyone fighting to rationalize this guy keeping his job is watching something very different on their TV than I am.

Yes, Morris needs to go too… I am 100% on board. But I’m not cussing that a new GM will have a minute to understand the franchise before making what will be the biggest decision of his time with the organization.

  6. Signing Kirk Cousins to a massive deal and then turning around and drafting Penix top 10 is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen a Falcons GM do

  7. Biggest issue with tf is that he drafted Penix. It’ll cost him his job. It should also cost Raheem and Zac their jobs as well.

  8. He’s not being fired, his contract is up and he’s not going to be renewed. The distinction is plenty important

Not firing Ra is a colossal issue, but the independent team that’s been hired to basically audit how the organization is structured might have something to say about that

  9. Terry should be fired, but if Terry is fired and Raheem isn’t fired (or at least you don’t give the new GM the power to fire a coach) that’s a mistake. If you want to give the new GM full power over the coaching staff.

  10. The Cousins-Penix maneuver is 100% a fireable offense. A few good picks doesn’t change that. The problem is that we aren’t cleaning house entirely, why not give the new GM his choice of a head coach and offensive coordinator?

  11. You can’t bring in any halfway competent GM and tell him “oh btw you’re stuck with this underperforming coach you never would have hired yourself”

  12. Can we go Public Like Green Bay? Hire Dan Reeves, Mike Smith, let them figure out the coaches after that, I’D give Suzy Kolber the chance at GM or Warrick Dunn.

  13. Raheem Morris needs to find a way out. No offense, Black Monday is the answer here. Stats don’t lie.

  14. Isn’t his contract up anyway? I guess you could frame it as firing him if you want but realistically his contract is not being renewed. Regardless, if you are planning on getting a new GM then you also need to plan on getting a new head coach. It’s stupid to not let your GM not have a say in who is coaching their team. Let them be a part of the process in hiring a new coach.

  15. As usual, little foresight by the Falcons. A GM is going to want to hire their own coach, unless you have Vince Lombardi already at the helm…and he don’t. They should fire both today or keep both and do the inevitable at 1-5 next year.

  16. This is an integral offseason where there are a lot of decisions to be made on veteran players and not a lot of draft capital. The execs simply don’t want the to apply the recent process moving forward. The HC can be figured out later, when there is a better opportunity, if necessary.

  17. This draft looks awesome, but one great draft does not make up for 4+ years of incompetence
