I feel like some fans decided, unfairly, to start treating Tracy like a JAG (Just Another Guy).

Especially considering that he was a fifth round pick, I think that he deserves considerably more credit than that.

The guy has a nose for finding creases and often seems to accelerate at just the right time. He 's also made several downfield catches, this year, so those college days, as a receiver, are paying off. I'm not saying the guy is Derrick Henry or Jonathan Taylor but he's a solid contributor.

I acknowledge that he had a slower start, this year, and he had to battle his way back from injury. Given that early adversity, I'm encouraged to see him finish out the year on an upswing and I'm glad that he'll be back as part of the nucleus of younger talent.

Personally, I hope that we get more of a running-back-by-committee approach next year.

  1. Our offense could be truly great next year with Nabers & Skat healthy, Dart further developping and hopefully some upgrades on the oline & wr 2

  2. He really only fully converted to RB his last year in college at Purdue, He very well might have a couple more developmental jumps in him. Might be time to give JS kudos for the pick.

  3. Him and Cam are such a complementary team. One guy runs north south and the other guy is elusive and can catch.

  4. I was told yesterday when I said I was happy to see him play well that it didn’t count because it was against a shit team… I don’t care, it’s been so long since we’ve had a 100 yard rusher, I’m happy to see him re-establish himself, he and skatt are gonna be a force next year

  5. I look forward to us drafting more productive Purdue players in the fifth round going forward

I hope our next coach uses him more creatively in the pass game. Tyrone/Skat/Wan’dale could all legitimately be in the backfield or split out wide so we can play lots of games with matchups/dictate coverages

  6. Unpopular opinion but he should be our rb1 next season. I love skat and I believe we can have a dynamic 1-2 punch with these two.

  7. That’s a lot of yards when you consider how many snaps Skattabo was getting before being injured.

Can’t wait to see them both in the backfield again next year.
