Josh had a heart
Gene Hackman in the Replacements: “You gotta have Hart”
The heart, soul, and thumb of the New York Knicks.
We didn’t lose to the Hawka cause we didn’t have Hart.
Truth.

Remember this when everyone turns on him in the playoffs because he can’t shoot lol
Coz he a DAWG

The drop off we experience with just one of our core guys out is crazy. These guys are truly greater than the sum of their parts
Glue guys are just as important as superstars
THE HART
It’s a no brainer. The only noise worth anything about him is when he chooses to pass up open looks. Outside of that he’s a winning player through and through.
He’s the HART and soul.
And this hackneyed statement is precisely the problem. If we are going to struggle to win regular season games without Josh Hart and he is neither the top offensive player on the team or defensive player on the team… that tells you that the margin for error is too small. And last I checked championship teams don’t have this small margin for error..
Hart should be important to our success. But it’s comical that our top played players have to be energized to play well. And we saw it last season as well as this season.
👍🏻
And I’m not even a doomer here. Objectively speaking I’m concerned for any team that needs an injection of energy from one player in order to compete. Because for all the things that we love about Josh Hart, there are things that are problematic for winning basketball given his deficiencies on offense and defense. In the playoffs, everyone plays with high energy. So unless he’s got another two or three gears, he just becomes a regular role player, especially if he misses his shots. This is essentially a call for us to make a trade to get an additional player more than it is a call for us to get rid of Josh Hart, because I love the guy.
The 1970 championship could have easily been lost if [Dave DeBusschere didn’t take on the challenge of guarding Wilt after Willis Reed got hurt in Game 5.](https://www.nba.com/watch/video/1970-nba-finals-game-5-willis-is-hurt) Wilt put up **45 and 27** when they went back to LA for Game 6. They would have been cooked. Everybody knows about what Willis did in Game 7, but nobody really talks about Game 5 when he actually got hurt.
You can’t measure heart and grit, but you need it to win a championship.
I agree with yall, jaylens really the heart, Josh is indeed more of the thumb
This stupid sub wants him subbed for McBride or anyone.
We need Josh.
Josh is an important player. Without him and Mitch the teams has a WAY lower ceiling on the board and gets out in transition way less. I think could still contend without Josh but they need to be 100% otherwise and Tyler Kolec needs to be good bc he is the only guy other then Josh that creates transition opportunities . The margin is very thin without him
I’ve been binge watching their podcast and Josh said the thumb in Jalen’s butthole was AI. Josh would never lie, so…
